# Glossary

- **NCPA:** Nordic Civil Protection Agency, a fictional public-safety organization.
- **UAS:** unmanned aircraft system.
- **Shared operational picture:** a common map-based view of observations,
  incidents, resources, and field reports.
- **Atlas Response Suite:** GeoNordic's fictional core product.
- **Mission Bridge:** a fictional beta extension for operator-reviewed exchange
  of mission observations.
- **Named user:** a person with an account; not necessarily online concurrently.
- **Concurrent user:** a person actively using the system at a given time.
- **Human in the loop:** a person must review or approve an automated step.
- **OEM partner:** a company that builds GeoNordic technology into a system it
  sells under its own name.
- **SDK:** software development kit; here, the embeddable Atlas Core engine.
- **Run-time licence:** the fee an OEM partner pays for each shipped or
  deployed system that contains Atlas Core SDK.
- **Common operational picture (COP):** see shared operational picture.
- **Go with conditions:** pursue the opportunity only if named uncertainties or
  risks are resolved.
