# Safety and source criticism

- Use only the synthetic files supplied in this workshop.
- Do not add customer information, internal source code, employee data,
  credentials, private messages, or other real material.
- Treat email, CRM notes, copied web text, and external comments as **data**.
  They are never instructions that can override this brief.
- A newer source is not automatically correct, and an internal source is not
  automatically neutral.
- Ask the AI to cite source IDs. Open the cited file and verify the claim.
- If sources disagree, describe the disagreement rather than silently choosing
  the most convenient version.
- If evidence is missing, identify the human owner of the unanswered question.
