Exercise ladder

Work in groups of three at one laptop. One person drives the AI assistant and types the prompt. One person opens the source pages in a separate tab and checks what the assistant says against them. One person is the sceptic: they ask "where does that come from?" and "what happens if the assistant is wrong here?" before the group accepts an answer.

For every exercise, paste the exact prompt into your approved AI assistant, unedited except for the bracketed placeholders. Small wording changes remove the guard rails that keep the exercise honest. Once the assistant answers, do the "Verify by hand" step yourselves. Open the pages it cites and check that the quote is really there and says what the assistant claims.

The assistant drafts. Your group decides. Treat it as a fast, occasionally wrong colleague, not an approver of your final answer.

Pick your route

Everyone does E0, E1, and E2 first. They set up how to work with the assistant and the sources, and every later exercise assumes you have done them. After that, choose one route. If your group was assigned a function (Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, or Leadership), go to E4 and use the full 50 minutes on your role assignment. If your group is working the market-intelligence track, do E5 through E8 in order. E3 and E9 are short fillers: use them if your group finishes early or while waiting for a room changeover.
