# SeaWatch coastal surveillance system enters operational service at the eastern coordination centre

TALLINN, 5 March 2026. The Baltic Coastal Authority has confirmed that its SeaWatch Coastal Surveillance System has entered operational service at the eastern coordination centre. The system, supplied by Havbris Maritime Systems AS, is now used by watch officers for day-to-day coastal monitoring at the site.

The eastern coordination centre is the first of the Authority's sites to bring SeaWatch into live operational use, following site acceptance testing completed in February. The Authority said further sites are expected to follow but gave no confirmed timeline.

Kristjan Mägi, Head of Maritime Operations at the Baltic Coastal Authority, said watch officers had adapted well during the transition: "SeaWatch is now part of the centre's daily coastal monitoring work."

The Baltic Coastal Authority is a national maritime safety body responsible for coastal surveillance and incident coordination along the Estonian coast.
