NCPA: Nordic Civil Protection Agency, a fictional public-safety organization.
UAS: unmanned aircraft system.
Shared operational picture: a common map-based view of observations, incidents, resources, and field reports.
Atlas Response Suite: GeoNordic's fictional core product.
Mission Bridge: a fictional beta extension for operator-reviewed exchange of mission observations.
Named user: a person with an account; not necessarily online concurrently.
Concurrent user: a person actively using the system at a given time.
Human in the loop: a person must review or approve an automated step.
OEM partner: a company that builds GeoNordic technology into a system it sells under its own name.
SDK: software development kit; here, the embeddable Atlas Core engine.
Run-time licence: the fee an OEM partner pays for each shipped or deployed system that contains Atlas Core SDK.
