OULU, 15 December 2025. Kaarna Defence Electronics Oy has been selected by the Nordic Defence Materiel Office (NDMO) as preferred supplier for the tactical display component of the Arctic Mobility programme, the company announced today. Selection follows a competitive evaluation process that began earlier in 2025.

The Arctic Mobility programme is an NDMO initiative focused on cold-climate mobility systems. Kaarna's HAWKEYE Tactical Display has been proposed as the display component within the wider programme architecture. Selection is a step ahead of contract negotiation; no contract has yet been signed, and scope, volumes, and pricing remain subject to negotiation. Dr Aino Kettunen, Chief Executive Officer of Kaarna Defence Electronics Oy, said the company was "pleased to have been selected to enter negotiations" and looked forward to "working through the technical and commercial detail with NDMO over the coming months."

Kaarna said it expected negotiations to conclude during the first half of 2026, and that further announcements would follow any signed agreement.
