Fjordland extends its Atlas-based common operational picture to all four regional centres

BERGEN, 22 April 2026. Fjordland Rescue Services has confirmed that its Atlas-based common operational picture has been extended from its original site to all four of the organization's regional coordination centres. The roll-out completes a phased deployment that began with a single centre in 2024.

Fjordland said the extended deployment gives all four regional centres a shared, real-time view of field reports and resource positions during incidents, replacing the earlier arrangement in which only one centre had access to the common operational picture.

Henrik Lund, Director of Operations at Fjordland Rescue Services, said: "Extending the common operational picture to all four regional centres means our coordination teams now share the same view of an incident, wherever it is in the country. This has been a priority for us since the first centre went live in 2024."

Fjordland said the roll-out involved no change of supplier and that the underlying platform architecture remained the same as at the original site.
